Welcome friends,

Since 1991 good fortune and health have allowed me to continue returning to the Nepal Himalaya. Initially the goal was to climb high. Soon the joys of the journeying became just as compelling: walking from village to village, meeting, working and laughing with the people. They became my friends and teachers. And since 1998, I have had the great pleasure of helping people explore this mountain world beyond roads. I am grateful to them all for their trust and enthusiasm.

My custom treks continue to high and wild places. For the last several years we have been exploring Nepal's remote and restricted territories: Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, Naar Phu. In extraordinary landscapes we are warmly welcomed by gentle people. Far beyond roads, each day brings new faces, new vistas and ancient ways. The wheels are for prayer . . .

These treks are precious opportunities to celebrate the amazing cultural diversity of our planet. I can assure you that you will meet local people, explore "untouched" areas and access the wild places at high altitude safely.

Namaste! A small boy's welcome meaning 'I salute the God within you'

The groups are small and easy going. Nima Sherpa and his porters become our close friends. We walk and we laugh and we sing. Won't you come join us?

Namaste,

OM MANI PADME HUM

"OM MANI PADME HUM" is the mantra found carved, painted and chanted throughout the Himalaya. It translates as: "Hail the Jewel in the Heart of the Lotus! May All Beings be Happy!"
